The Swimfast Winter Training Squad is a focused, four-month programme designed to prepare swimmers for the cold, distance, and mental demands of a Robben Island crossing. This is where preparation becomes real.

Limited spaces available.Over two winters, squad swimmers have reported sharper focus, improved mood, weight loss, stronger self-belief, and friendships built through shared effort on cold Johannesburg mornings. Training consistently toward a demanding goal changes how you show up — in the water and beyond.
What the squad trains
- Cold-water tolerance — progressive and supervised
- Fitness and endurance (~7km distance)
- Technique for efficiency and injury prevention
- Mental preparation for calm decision-making under stress

Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 06:30–07:30
Last Saturday of each month from 07:30
